Keyword Research

Before you even begin bidding for any keyword, you have to decide which keywords are worth bidding. You start by researching your target market and build a keyword list. Basically, you have to understanding of how people use search engines. Why do people type in certain words or phrases? Are they looking for what you are offering? Choose keywords that make sense to you, don’t choose keywords just because they have high search volume. Use Google Adwords Keyword Tool to help you generate the keywords you need. A basic rule are to choose keywords that have 3 words or more, have the search volume of at least 1,500 and most importantly, they must be related to your product.

If you have managed your Google Adwords account online, you’ll knows that making changes to your campaign can be quite slow at times, especially when you have a lot of changes to make. Well, you don’t have to sweat about this anymore; Google has a free application in town, called Adwords Editor. This is a powerful tool that allows you to work offline, make mass changes and navigate through your campaigns quickly.

Adwords Editor is great if you manage thousand of keywords. You can make changes to massive, selected keywords with just a few key strokes. You can also work offline, make all your changes and update your campaigns only after you are happy with all your changes. This eliminates the fear of making mistake online, which can be costly.

Search Network And Content Network

There are 2 ways to display your ads, by Search Network or Content Network. Search Network ads will appear on the search result when someone type in your keywords into the search engine. Ads on Content Network will appear on web pages that have content related to your keywords. Although, you want to advertise for both networks, you must know that pay per click bid management strategies for search and content networks are very different. The first thing you must do is to create separate campaigns for search network ads and content network ads. This will make your keywords bidding a lot easier later on when you start running your campaigns.
